The concepts of conservation and attachment to a natural site have always characterized the work of Unidad Diseño, the Architectural Firm leaded by architect Mario Lazo. Prior to the engagement of the design, Unidad Diseño´s interdisciplinary team visits and senses the site, studying its natural and cultural conditions, in order to promote a project that respects and enhances such assets. Punta Bahia Villas are no exception, a project that offers large spaces of site vegetation and water features, as well as wide open views of the Caribbean Ocean and Laguna Macax from every single space. This time, local materials as wood and stone are combined with innovative techniques of construction, assembling a contemporary piece. Unidad Diseño´s team reflects such diversity, being conformed by members with a life-long experience in design and construction, as well as young elements that offer fresher perspectives. Thirty years of experience designing and building along Mexican beaches are portrayed and taken a step forward at Punta Bahía Villas, at Isla Mujeres.
